- Daily Schedule & FlexTime | Memorial High School
Discover the power of Tiger FlexTime at our school! Enhance academic success with tailored schedules, extra help, club meetings, and more. Join us at 1500 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN, USA. Academics Departments College & School Counseling Resource Accommodations Witting Media Center Daily Schedule & Tiger FlexTime Incognito Instructors Daily Schedule & FlexTime Reitz Memorial runs on an alternate day block schedule that is referred to as White Days and Blue Days. Each student has four 85-minute periods each day throughout the year on alternating days. These White Days and Blue Days have been set in a fixed schedule for the school year. The school day starts at 7:35 a.m. and ends at 2:15 p.m. Tiger FlexTime Announcement from 2022-2023 In addition to the normal block schedule, Reitz Memorial started using a new initiative at the beginning of the 2022- 23 sc hool year called Tiger FlexTime. Each day, our students’ instructional time will end at 2:15 p.m. At 2:20 p.m., students who want to, need to, or are asked to stay, will then report to their location for their FlexTime activity. What is most important to understand about this time is that while students are able to leave at 2:15 p.m., they may also be asked to stay until 2:50 p.m. As such, it is strongly recommended that activities students will consistently attend (such as work) should not be scheduled until after the student would be able to leave school at 2:50 p.m. In addition, no athletic practices, band practices, or theater practices will begin before 3:00 p.m. This time will be very intentional and geared towards allowing students the time they need to maintain their academic success. We believe this time will allow students and faculty the opportunity to connect and work together in areas they need. A few examples for the use of this time include: Ability for students to see teachers for extra academic help Tutoring from Incognito Instructors Ability to make-up tests, quizzes, homework, and lectures if a student missed class Club meetings Study tables and grade checks for athletic teams, band, and theater Faculty collaboration for projects, labs, or review sessions for classes School counselor meetings for help with scheduling, college information, or scholarships Doctor appointments (if this would help avoid missed class time) CONTINUE YOUR JOURNEY Request Information Let us help you explore opportunities at Reitz Memorial High School.
