Transfer Admissions

Transfer Admissions

The typical entry time for students transferring to Reitz Memorial High School is at the beginning of a semester (fall semester in August or spring semester in January). There is no application deadline for transfer admission. Please be aware, however, that if you are transferring in January or the middle of the school year, a copy of your current schedule will be needed.

Step 1: Submit an Application for Admission
o Click HERE to submit an Enrollment Application
Parent(s) submit an Enrollment Application for admission into Reitz Memorial High School. No placement test is required as part of the transfer admissions process.

Step 2: Submit Academic Records
o Click HERE for the Authorization to Release Student Records form
The parent(s) should contact each high school the student has attended and request an official transcript.
Transcripts should be sent to: Reitz Memorial High School
                                                      ATTN: Mr. Brian Heathcott
                                                      1500 Lincoln Avenue
                                                      Evansville, IN 47714
We will accept unofficial transcripts for initial evaluation, but we will not make any offers of admission without an official transcript from any school(s) previously attended. See Authorization to Release Student Records. Any applicant who has not completed at least one full year of high school must submit a copy of his/her entire 8th grade report card to the same address above. Please use the same Authorization to Release Student Records form.

Step 3: Submit Attendance and Discipline Records
o Click HERE for the Discipline Recommendation form
Similar to the official transcript request, parent(s) should also request Attendance and Discipline Records from any high school previously attended. See Discipline Recommendation Form.

Step 4: Sign Code of Christian Conduct Statement
o Click HERE for the Code of Christian Conduct form
Students and Parents are made aware of the Diocesan Code of Christian Conduct. By signing the form, you are acknowledging that you have read the statement and agree to abide by the policies.

Step 5: Make Administration aware of any Educational Accommodations
In order for Reitz Memorial High School to help your student succeed, it is important that you, as a parent, make us aware of any special educational or behavioral issues that may require our attention.

Step 6: Submit a Tuition Assistance Application (Optional)
o Click HERE for the Tuition Assistance Application
Several forms of tuition assistance are available to families. If you feel you may qualify, a tuition assistance application, along with the previous year tax returns, can be submitted for review.

The Admissions Office must receive all transfer files and information noted before admission to Reitz Memorial High School can be considered. Reitz Memorial High School reserves the right to refuse admission at any time.
