Memorial is a comprehensive school including grades 9 through 12. It is an inter-parochial Catholic High School operating under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Evansville. The enrollment of 695 for 2016-2017 is predominately Catholic with approximately 5% non-Catholic. The 2016 graduating class had 160 students. There are 51 faculty members, 65% of whom hold a Master’s degree. The student-teacher ratio is approximately 14 to 1.The school is accredited by the Indiana Department of Education and by Advanced. 92 students from the Class of 2015-16 were offered an academic and/or athletic scholarship totaling $9,059,430.64.
 
Community
Evansville, a city of about 130,000, is located on the Ohio River in the southwestern corner of the state. It is at the center of a tri-state area of Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois. One private, two inter-parochial, and six public schools provide an education for secondary students in the community. Two universities, one private and one state, are also located in the community. The local area is served by industry and agriculture.
 
History 
New Year’s Day, 1925, Reitz Memorial High School was dedicated by Bishop Chartrand of Indianapolis. Classes began January 5, and the boys were taught by the Brothers of The Holy Cross and the girls by the Sisters of Providence.
